Beat Volunteers!

I've had a bad day, since I found out that Patrick Patterson is out for the season! I'm over it now, and I'm ready for the Cats to beat up on the Volunteers and their hothead coach, Bruce Pearl!

GO CATS!!! BEAT VOLS!!

Weekend!!

I'm so excited to go to Bowling Green tomorrow! Mommy and daddy are going to put me in the pool t the hotel that we are staying at, and I can't wait! I love taking my bath, so I know I'm going to love getting in the pool, too. Mommy got me a float today, so I know I will be safe. I just hope that the water isn't too cold for me.

Since we're going to Bowling Green, it wouldn't surprise me if mommy and daddy buy me a WKU outfit while we're down there. I'd look good in the red and black!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Colby's Slideshow!!

Check out the new slideshow! There are some nice pictures from our visit to see Papa Pat and Cilla in Owensboro!

Doing Chores with Mommy

Guess what? My mommy got to stay home with me again today because she had a snow day.....yaaahhh!! I slept until 8:30 this morning because I was tired, but when I woke up it was time to do some chores around the house. Sometimes mommy will strap me into the Baby Bjorn backpack and sweep the floor...I like to walk around with her, and I like the sound of the vacuum cleaner. We had a great time today playing and working around the house.

I'm real excited to see Grandma and Granddad tomorrow, too! Plus, daddy is taking the day off on Friday, so I'll get to see him a bunch on Friday, and that makes me excited! I'm kind of nervous right now because the Wildcats have a big game tonight against Ole Miss...if they win, they are one step closer to making the NCAA tournament!!! Cheer on the Cats tonight!!

GO CATS!! BEAT OLE MISS!!

C - A - T - S.....CATS, CATS, CATS!!!!! SPANK THOSE REBELS TONIGHT....

Visiting Papa Pat and Cilla

I had a great trip last night to Owensboro...we went to visit Papa Pat and Cilla! We ate at Colby's, a nice restaurant in downtown Owensboro, and boy was it good! Mommy had Mahi Mahi and daddy had pork chops...they both ate really fast, so the food must have been pretty good! Papa Pat and Cilla really had a great time holding me and talking to me...they couldn't believe how big I've gotten since Christmas. I bet Papa took a million pictures of me with his camera...that thing really lights up the room! Papa said it was all right for me to throw a chair when I come visit him in Indiana (since Bobby Knight threw chairs when he was the coach at IU)....Papa is so funny! I can't wait until I get big enough to swing a golf club....I know Papa and Cilla will take me to play golf somewhere, since they love it so much! I really liked Cilla's hair, too....she looked really pretty! I can't wait until I get to see Papa Pat and Cilla again!

The Home Stretch!!

Well, here we are coming towards the end of the basketball regular season, and the Wildcats are still alive! GG got me fired up for the game yesterday, and we pulled out a tough win...yeah!! I think we'll be able to beat Ole Miss this week, and if we can knock off Florida and "Baby Billy", then we're in. It's really too bad that the Cards are going to make the dance....hopefully we can make it farther in the tournament than them. That would be sweet!

Well, I hope everyone has a great week! Sounds like we'll have warm weather tomorrow, but more cold and snow is on the way...mommy, are you staying home again for snow days?!?

Too Much Excitement!

I am worn out! All the excitement from today's UK basketball game made me SO tired that I just went ahead and took a nap in my new high chair. Oh yeah, mommy and daddy bought me a new high chair last night, and I love it! I can sit up high in the air and play with my toys and watch what is going on. I think this is much better than laying in the floor. Anyway, I was pumped that the Wildcats beat the Razorbacks today....just a few more wins and we may make the NCAA tournament after all!

GO WILDCATS.....BEAT RAZORBACKS!!!!

My Buddies

Everyone keep their fingers crossed...I want it to snow tomorrow so my mommy can stay home with me on Friday!

I had a great day today! My Great Aunt Ruthie, GG, and Grandma all took care of me today, and we had a blast! GG and Ruthie couldn't believe how big I've gotten. I was happy all day, and I talked up a storm and smiled and played all day. I can't believe how many people love me!

Oh, by the way, the little animals I am with in the picture, those are at Aunt Tiffany's house. I can't remember what they were called, but I sure did have fun with them!

Things are Looking Up!

Man, I can't believe how close I am to being able to start crawling! I know that I need to learn how to move my arms and legs at the same time so I can really get moving, but WOW am I doing a good job with my knees and legs! I can really push myself up with my legs and inch myself along....if only I could get my arms working as well as my legs....they're just not quite strong enough yet. I guess since I'm only 18 weeks old I shouldn't be crawling yet anyway, but I really want to. My daddy laughs at me when I'm trying so hard...I grunt and yell and get red in the face because I'm trying my best to crawl.

I've got my fingers crossed that the weather gets a little bad this week, too. I like it when my mommy gets to stay home with me. I'm excited that my Great Aunt Ruthie will be watching me tomorrow morning, too! We'll have fun while we're waiting for Grandma, and GG and whoever else wants to come to the house come and visit. See everyone tomorrow!

My Visit with Aunt Tiffany

Man, I had a great time in Indianapolis this weekend! My Aunt Tiffany's house is COOL! We had a great time hanging out and going shopping in the big city. Mommy took me to a nice restaurant to eat, and she bought me a sweet outfit to wear after we ate. Aunt Tiffany has a treadmill in her house, and mommy really liked that. She wants to buy one for our house, but she still has a membership at the gym. Maybe she'll get one for her birthday gift from me this year! I'm glad we had a good time in Indianapolis. Hopefully on our next visit my cousins Grace, Carson and Preston will be there!

Where is Sammy?

Me and Mommy are going on a trip to visit Aunt Tiffany in Indianapolis today! Daddy stayed home because he had an eye appointment, and this was a "girl's only" weekend, except for me. I'm not sure what we are going to do, but I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun! Mommy has never seen Aunt Tiffany's new house, so she was excited to get up there and look it over. I know Daddy is going to miss both of us a bunch, but it will be okay because we will be home soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! I hope everyone had a great day today with their sweethearts...I had a great time with mommy and daddy, and with Grandma and Granddad, too! I got all kinds of good stuff today...a cool card and money from Papa Pat and Cilla, a Snuggle Puppy, book, and card from Grandma and Granddad, and three books and a card from mommy and daddy! Man, when I get this much stuff for Valentine's Day, it's hard to imagine what I'm going to get for Christmas!!!

Mommy and daddy went out to eat tonight...it was the first time in my life that they left me to go have dinner. I was glad that they went and had a nice time together! I like staying with Grandma and Granddad anyway!

Be sure to check out the new slideshow!

Grub!!

If you couldn't tell from the Rice Cereal box, or from the slideshow, I had my very first bowl of food last night! I'm still learning how to use my tongue to swallow, but I still loved the taste of the rice cereal. I know that mommy and daddy are going to give me more cereal tonight...I can't wait. I think they are trying to get me on a schedule, some kind of routine so I sleep more at night. They are giving me a hot bath, and then feeding me rice cereal, and then holding me tight. I have to say, last night I fell asleep FAST, and I didn't wake up until 4:45...that is pretty good for me! I was excited today because mommy got to stay home with me again...she had a snow day. Mommy and daddy are going out to eat at Stone Hearth for Valentines Day tomorrow night, so Grandma and granddad are going to watch me almost all day...that will be fun! I wonder if I'll get any Valentines Day gifts from mommy and daddy?

Rice Cereal

Please look at the slide show titled "Rice Cereal". I think the pictures will explain the title of this post.

Let It Snow!

Yes!!! Mommy got to stay home with me today because there was a lot of snow and ice...we had a great time playing and reading and talking to each other. I hope she gets out of school again tomorrow, since it is snowing and icing and really cold again tonight! Mommy and daddy took this picture just a few minutes ago. I hope Mrs. Johnston will hurry up and call off school, and I hope daddy gets to stay home for part of the day, too!

Growing Up

I can't believe that I am FINALLY able to fit into my Notre Dame outfit that Uncle JP bought me...it is a 6 month size, so I'm really getting big quick! Mommy thinks I should start wearing a bib all of the time because I drool so much. Daddy says he can't believe I don't get dehydrated since I drool all the time. Maybe I'm about ready to start getting teeth, and that is the reason I drool. I just know that I was really excited when I could fit into another Irish outfit.

Give me a bite, Daddy

I can't wait until I can eat big boy food like daddy...all I get is milk and formula, and I'm getting sick of it! I want some chili and ice cream, just like daddy eats. Sooner or later mommy is going to break down and at least let me have some rice cereal...then I'll be a big boy and maybe daddy can sneak me some good stuff ;)

Almost all better...

Daddy took this picture of me the morning he figured out I had pink eye...it really didn't look good at all. The good news is, daddy took me to the doctor, I've been taking medicine, and now I'm almost all back to well again! YEEEAAAHHHH!

My Friend, Macy

I was so happy to get to visit with my friend, Macy; she came to my house for Tamara's shower. When mommy called daddy and told us to come home (after the UK game, of course) I was excited because I knew I was going to get to see a bunch of people, and boy was I right! I was really excited when I saw Macy, though. She goes to the same babysitter, so we have become pretty good friends, even though we're both babies and can't talk yet. Macy was crawling around the basement and trying to stand up, and I was just laying there trying my hardest to crawl with her. Daddy kept telling me that it would just be a little longer and I'd be able to crawl, too...yes!! We had a good time hanging out in the basement.

Also, the shower that mommy put on for Tamara went really well. Everyone had a great time playing the games that mommy came up with, and eating the food that mommy made, and looking at the decorations that mommy put up...everyone was complimenting her, and Tamara was so happy! I'm glad I have a good mommy! It was a good day on Saturday for everyone.

ATTACK!!!!

My mommy is having a shower for Tamara tomorrow, which means I won't get as much attention, so I am going to ATTACK my mommy! We are having 25 ladies over tomorrow, which is pretty nice, but since I have pink eye I can't be held by them. So, daddy and I are going to go shopping, or maybe chill at Panera, while mommy is home with Tamara and the ladies. I hope Tamara gets a bunch of good gifts for her baby like I did. I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Down for the Count

I can't believe it...I'm sick AGAIN! Today daddy and granddad took me to the doctor, and she told me I have pink eye! Can you believe that...PINK EYE...and right soon after I got over having RSV! No fair...At least daddy got banana flavored penicillin for me to take...otherwise, I think I would just throw a fit and spit it out when mommy and daddy gave it to me. Now I have to take this stuff two times a day for seven days. Oh well, at least Uncle JP is coming to see me this weekend!

Big Time

YES!! The Notre Dame Fightin' Irish signed it's best recruiting class since 1990 yesterday. The 23 players that Coach Weis and staff brought to South Bend are all highly regarded players, and come from all over the United States! Most recruiting services have the Irish ranked as having the #2 class nationwide, and when you take into account that ALL these players will qualify academically (unlike Alabama, Miami, Florida, etc...those schools without academic standards for their athletic programs), then most believe ND had the best recruiting class in the nation. GO IRISH!

Also, please scroll down the page and look to the right....the section titled "Signing Day" now contains a slideshow...go daddy!

Here Come the Irish

Do you all hear that? That is the sound of the Fightin' Irish of Notre Dame running you over. We can't wait until tomorrow, when the Irish sign another Top 5 recruiting class and get back on the winning track! Go Irish!

Waiting Patiently

Well, I can't wait until tomorrow, since it is National Letter of Intent Day (Signing Day) for college football. That means I am waiting to see if Notre Dame can hold on to the #1 recruiting ranking that they have held for almost a full year. Coach Weis and his staff have done a tremendous job of recruiting, even when they had a down year. You'll know if I'm happy or not tomorrow afternoon....anything in the Top 5 will be really good!!

Also, I hope everyone pays attention to the weather today and makes sure they are safe!

Kim, Tate and Me

I had a big time at O'Charleys this past weekend! We had dinner with the Mousers, and it was so much fun. Mommy had a chicken finger dinner, and daddy got some soup and salad...I had to eat a bottle of formula; yuck! I'm ready for some apple sauce and peas!! Kim got me out of my car seat and held me for a while, and I liked that a lot. I bet Tate and Reed like having a mommy like Kim. My mommy and Kim are the coolest moms in the world!!

Barnes and Noble Trip

Hey everyone! Sorry there weren't any posts this weekend...we had a lot going on!! Mommy and daddy and I went to eat dinner with the Mousers on Saturday, and afterwards we went to Barnes and Noble for a coffee, and to look at the books in the kids section. (I think mommy and daddy bought me some books for Valentines Day, but don't tell them I know ;) !!!) I got dressed up in my tricycle outfit, and mommy said I looked like a handsome little devil...daddy said the same thing, so I must have looked pretty good! Anyway, I got to ride in my stroller and look at a bunch of neat books, and see all the cool people at Barnes and Noble. We had a great time!

Special Visit

I was SO excited when my Great Aunt Janet and Mary Lou came and visited me yesterday!! We had so much fun together playing in the basement with all of my toys. Great Aunt Janet kissed me about a million times because she kept telling me that she loves me so much. Daddy came home for lunch, and he grubbed the pulled pork sandwich that Janet bought for him...he was so happy that he tried to give me a bite of his chocolate chip cookie...I wish I was bigger and had teeth! Oh well, I still had fun with Great Aunt Janet and Mary Lou. I hope they come back soon to see me! I really want to go to Louisville to see them sometime, too.

Story Time

Mommy read me a book last night titled, Good Boy, Fergus! Mommy says the book reminds her of Rudy...she also says it reminds her of Grandma and Iggy. I don't know Rudy, but I do think the book reminds me of Grandma and Iggy!! Anyway, I really like the book...it tells a story all about a dog named Fergus that likes to do things his way, and his master always loves him and gives in to him even when he's doing stuff the wrong way. I liked the part where he pee-peed all over the place when he was on a walk...hilarious!! :) I love it when mommy and daddy read books to me...I really pay attention to the words and the pictures. Hopefully I'll be able to read some when I go to kindergarten in a few years!
