Playing with Uncle JP's Gift

Look at me sitting up and playing with one of my Christmas gifts that Uncle JP gave me! I can't wait until mommy and daddy figure out how to actually hook it up to the computer. For right now I am content just banging on the keys....I like all the colors, and the sounds it makes when I hit the keys! Thanks for the cool present Uncle JP!

My Buddy Brady

Hey everybody, check out my buddy Brady Abell....I decided to take a nap, but he sure is wide awake! My mommy and daddy say that Brady is a handsome young man, and I believe them! Mommy put me in Brady's swing and I passed out real quick...it didn't have the same effect on Brady, though! I guess he's been catching up on sleep while his mommy, Tamara, is home with him! I really liked it when my mommy got to stay home with me...maybe if she has another baby sometime she'll get to stay home again! That would be a blast!

Daddy says sorry for not posting over the last several days.....spring cleaning and basketball games have dominated at our house for a while! Hope everyone is doing well!

Get Well Grancilla!

Hey Grancilla! I hope you're feeling better, and that you keep getting better everyday! I know that mommy and daddy have been talking about your hip surgery, and how painful it is, but I'm hoping that you are like Superwoman and make a quick recovery. Maybe we can all come and visit you and PapaPat sometime soon!

Get well, Grancilla! We all love you!

Easter Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came to see me or gave me goodies for my 1st Easter celebration! I really do appreciate everything that I got, and for the good times that I had! Really, I think I like the visiting and seeing my friends and relatives more than I like getting stuff!

I had a great time with Grace, Carson, Preston, and Aunt Tiffany over the Easter weekend! We had an Easter egg hunt and we opened up the eggs the Easter Bunny left us all at the same time....it was really fun! We watched movies and played basketball together, too! I really liked the Easter lunch that mommy made for all of us....ham, hashbrown casserole, cole slaw, baked beans, bread, and cake....yummy in my tummy!! I think everyone else liked it, too, because they all grubbed like they had never seen food before!

Daddy added several new slideshows to the blog...they are all titled Easter....you should be able to see 4 new shows that will show you what I did for Easter. By the way....the picture attached to this blog is a picture of me in my Easter outfit...mommy and daddy said I looked like a handsome young man....if that is true, then I need to dress like this more often!

Thanks again to everyone who came to see me or got me Easter goodies! I love all of you!

HAPPY EASTER!

Hey everybody! I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter!! I hope the easter bunny brings everyone a bunch of candy, a bunch of happiness, and a bunch of love! Since this is my first Easter, I'm not really sure of what to expect, but I'm still excited...

My cousins are coming to visit me this weekend, and I'm excited about that, too! Carson, Preston and Grace, and Aunt Tiffany will all be here for Easter, and I think we will have a great time! I think we're going to have an Easter Egg Hunt, and that will be a blast! I hope mommy and daddy put some of the eggs close to me, since I still can't get around on my own very well....and I hope the eggs that I find are full of goodies!

Well, everyone stay warm this Easter! Cheer on the Hilltoppers (since UK is out), and cheer against the Cardinals (since they are still in)!

I Love Books

Here I am reading another book, this time with my mommy. I had to do something after my Wildcats got beaten today:( Hopefully the Fightin' Irish and Hilltoppers can win so I can be happy about basketball again.

I'm getting excited about Easter....I hope the bunny will bring me a basket full of goodies. Mommy and daddy keep talking about the easter bunny, and grandma was singing a song today about Petter Cottontail....I can't wait to see my goodies and to dress up in my Easter outfit...it will be fun!

One Happy Guy!!

Man, when I get in my exersaucer I am one happy guy! I love pulling on the hanging insects, because when I do they play some cool music that mommy and daddy dance to...I think that is funny!

I like moving around in a circle in the exersaucer, too....there are colorful things to play with all the way around the thing, and I love it. I've learned how to bounce up and down in the exersaucer, too, so the fun never ends! A lot of times when I get in the exersaucer I scream out because I'm having so much fun, just like I'm doing in this picture!

Well, the last thing to say is.....GO BIG BLUE!!

GO CATS.....BEAT MARQUETTE!!!!

I hope Billy Clyde and the Wildcats are ready for some basketball tomorrow! We need to get some sweet revenge on Marquette...they knocked us out of the tournament several years ago.

Story Time

My daddy read another book to me the other night, and I loved it! This time me and daddy laid on our stomachs in the floor while we read. I really liked the book that we were reading, but I can't remember the title. After a while I started trying to grab the book...I like to put my hands on everything in my sight now!

After we got done reading, daddy gave me a bath and then fed me my bottle...and a little while after that I was dead asleep.

Goodnight!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

I know this post is late (sorry), but it is better late than never. I had a big time today wearing my green St. Patrick's Day t-shirt and my bib that says "Baby's 1st St. Patrick's Day"....I look good in green!

Since my middle name is Patrick, I think I will always celebrate this day....and I have an Irish last name, and I'm a Notre Dame Fightin' Irish football fan, so I've got every reason in the world to really like St. Patrick's day!

I hope everyone gets a good night's sleep...I'm already nodding off since I had my bottle of formula and a bath.....goodnight!

Sam (Me), Reed, Dawson, Tate and Mommy

I had a bunch of visitors this past Saturday night, and we had a BLAST! I got to roll around on the floor with Reed while Tate and Dawson ran around the basement and played hide and seek. Daddy even played some basketball with Tate and Dawson, so everyone was having a good time! Mommy spent some time talking to Donna and Kim....I think they got caught up on all the local gossip (yuck!) and Curtis rocked away in the rocking chair. I'm glad mommy and daddy got the basement finished...now we have plenty of room for guests to come over and we have a really good place to play and have a good time!

Today was St. Patrick's Day, of course, so I was excited....my middle name is Patrick! I wore my green t-shirt all day to celebrate the big day.

I Love My Mommy!

We shopped all day today, after we got our palm branches at church and ate the salad bar at StoneHearth...it was a good day!

I hope everyone has a great week, and be sure to get good and fired up for the Wildcats game later this week!!

I think we have a great chance to get some revenge on Marquette...if we play good "D" and Joe and Ramel can score some points, then watch out. I almost puked in my mouth when I saw that Louisville got a "3" seed....an 8 loss team that lost in their first game of the conference tournament, and they are rewarded with a "3" seed....WOW!!!

Well....GO CATS, and everyone have a great week!

Cribs

I am happy to announce that I have slept in my crib for the last 6 straight nights! I have officially been moved into "big boy" status!

Of course, my mommy has been sleeping close by, but that's ok because she makes me feel safe when I'm sleeping. I really like the rain forest mobile that mommy and daddy attached to my crib...it has cool stuff hanging from it, and it plays nice music, so it is much easier for me to go to sleep at night.

Daddy keeps telling me he is proud of me, and that makes me feel good! I really like my crib because I have a lot of space to move around, and it is very comfortable. I'm glad I'm a big boy now.

Rip Off!!

Holy Cow! That was pathetic...the SEC ought to be ashamed of themselves for allowing that type of officiating to occur! I never knew you could run over players without being called for a foul...that was clearly a charge!

It's too bad the Cats ran out of gas today...they've been playing so well! Now we'll just have to wait and see what seed they get in the NCAA tournament.

I wish Billy G. would have gotten a-hold of that ref when he chased him down in the tunnel...what a joke!

Go Cats!

Take Me For a Ride!!!

YES! It was warm outside today, and I got to go for 2 walks....oh yeah! Mommy walked me up to Tamara's house so she could talk, and so we could both see baby Brady. We had a great time!

When daddy got home we went for another walk...this time around the circle of the neighborhood, and we had a great time again! The good news is, it is supposed to be even warmer tomorrow. I think mom has some kind of event tomorrow night at school, so hopefully daddy will still take me on a walk....we could have some good bonding time!

Hope everyone enjoys the nice spring weather tomorrow!

Tourney Time

Here comes the SEC tournament, and the Cats are heading to Catlanta as the #2 seed! If we can pull off the upset and win the whole thing, who knows, maybe the Cats can be a 4 or 5 seed!!!

I think daddy is going to have people over to the house during lunch so they can catch a few minutes of the games...good times! I'm glad, because then I will get to see daddy during lunch on Thursday and Friday.

Cheer on the Wildcats and Billy Clyde...C - A - T - S....Cats, Cats, Cats!!!

Slide Shows Galore

Well, I had a little heart-to-heart with daddy, and he decided to do some work on the blog. If you look on the right side of the page, daddy added 4 new slide shows: "Doctor's Office", "Snow Storm", "Birthday Bash", and "Squash". Holy Cow, that is a bunch of pictures!

I hope everyone has had a great first two days of the week! I'm glad that the weather is finally starting to warm up and be more like spring. Mommy and daddy keep telling me we will go walking in my stroller...and we did yesterday! I can' wait until tomorrow, since it's supposed to be even warmer.

One more thing...daddy came home excited tonight because his buddy Roger told him that WKU is playing UK next year in football...AWESOME!! I can't wait for football season, but I'm really enjoying the basketball season, since the CATS are in the tournament, and the TOPS will probably be there, too!! SWEET!!

Smooth

My daddy has been a slacker here lately...he's just not posting enough, and I don't like it. Daddy did promise me that he will get better as the week goes on. In fact, he may have several different slide shows to post!

I have to report that I got my first taste of "real" food tonight...squash. Mommy scooped it out of a little can, and it was orange color, and it tasted GOOD!! I ate every last bite. After I ate, mommy and daddy put together this cool thing that hangs over my crib...it looks like a rainforest with big leaves and exotic animals. It plays real nice music and moves around in a circle, and it makes me want to go to sleep. Mommy said tonight I am going to sleep in my own bed, my crib, for the very first time. She also said she was going to sleep in the floor beside me to make sure I'm all right. I think daddy is just going to stay in his own bed...I would if I were him. Anyway, I can't wait to be a big boy and sleep in my own bed!

I'll be sure to remind daddy to add a bunch more posts this week. He has pictures of the birthday dinner for Granddad and Great Aunt Ruthie, the snow storm, me eating squash, me in my walker (thanks grandma and granddad!) and more. I'll make sure he gets them up!

Oh Yeah....GO CATS!

Happy Birthday Granddad and Aunt Ruthie

I'm sorry this post is a little late, but here goes anyway...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I had a great time at the birthday dinner today! The food was great, Grandma, and the win over the Gators was just as good!

I hope everyone has a great week!

Senior Day

We need a big win against the Gators this weekend...I think we're already in the tournament, but a win against Florida guarantees a spot.

Have a big Senior Day, Ramel and Joe!

Take Me Back to the Pool!!

I had so much fun at the pool this past weekend...I hope mommy and daddy will take me back sometime soon. Mommy was cold, like she always is, so she put her hood up when we got out of the pool...I was feeling perfect and just wanted to get back in.

Now I'm waiting to see how much snow we get tomorrow and Saturday....the forecast says we may get some snow thunder..what the heck is that? I just hope we get a bunch of the white stuff! Yi Ha!!

Dishman McGinnis

Mommy and daddy took a picture of the school where they started teaching while we were in Bowling Green this past weekend. I think they said the school was named Dishman McGinnis Elementary.....yeah, that's the name. They kept telling stories about what it was like working there, and what it was like meeting there. I'm sure glad that they met there, so then they could become my mommy and daddy!

Winter Weather?

If you are a fan of snow, then go check the forecast for Thursday and Friday on www.noaa.gov.

Wow!

Smart Guy

Look how smart my daddy looks in his new "smart glasses". Daddy keeps saying that when he and mommy have on their glasses at the same time they are the smartest couple in the world...I don't know if that is true, but it is funny to hear daddy say it.

GO BIG BLUE!!

SO CLOSE.....We were so close to beating those hated Volunteers! Now we have to beat South Carolina!

C - A - T - S.....CATS, CATS, CATS!!!!! BEAT SOUTH CAROLINA!

Tax Lady

Here is a picture with me and mommy and Debra in Bowling Green. Debra is one of mommy and daddy's friends, and she prepares their taxes for them every year. I was glad to eat brunch with Debra and her husband, Andy, this past Sunday. We met at the Holiday Inn Convention Center and had a great time!

Daddy is going to try to post a new slideshow from this weekend's Bowling Green trip!

Pool Time!

We had a GREAT time in Bowling Green this weekend! I especially liked getting in the pool...mommy and daddy said I will be a really good swimmer!

Daddy will post a lot more stuff about the weekend trip tomorrow.

Welcome Brady Michael Abell

Finally....Brady Michael Abell was born today! He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long....

I can't wait to play with him! Here is a picture of my mommy holding Brady...he has on his UK toboggan.....it's really too bad that the Cats got beat today, they played so well.

My family wants to say congratulations to Jason and Tamara!

Laundry Time

I helped mommy out with the laundry this week, and when it was time for a break she put me in the hamper! Mommy is so funny! I loved it in the hamper...I felt like I was special sitting in the middle of all those clothes.

We're about ready to leave for Bowling Green here in just a little bit! I'm so glad that the sun is out and the weather is warming up! I guess we'll just have to wait and see if John Belski's forecast for Tuesday is true...he says we may get almost 10 inches of snow!!!
